Volunteer with the Tool Library

Love tools, building things, or helping your community? Whether you’re a seasoned maker or just handy with a wrench or learning about tools, we’d love to have you on board!

Volunteering at the Tool Library is a great way to:

  • Share your skills with others

  • Learn something new

  • Keep tools in use (and out of landfills)

  • Be part of a growing DIY community

We have opportunities for all skill levels and flexible time commitments. You don’t need to know every tool—we’ll train you!

🙌 Volunteer Roles You Can Choose From

🔁 Regular Tool Library Shift
Greet members, check tools in/out, answer questions, and help keep the shop organized.

📅 Shift Backup Volunteer
Be on-call to fill in if a regular volunteer can’t make it. Great if you want to help but need flexibility.

🧰 Organize and/or Run a Tool Workshop
Lead a class on anything from power tools to basic repairs to DIY projects. We can help you plan and advertise it!

🛠 Tool Maintenance
Help keep our tools in top shape. If you enjoy fixing things or want to learn how, this one’s for you.

🎨 Graphic Design Help
Create flyers, posters, social media graphics, or help with branding and signage.

🌐 Website Maintenance
Assist with updates or fixes to our website (especially if you know WordPress, HTML/CSS, or similar tools).

📘 Tutorials & Resource Guides
Write tool how-tos, curate helpful videos, or create project guides that help members learn by doing.

You can stop by during tool library hours and ask one of our volunteers for more information or fill out this form to let us know about your interest.
